FOUR WOMEN PLUS SUCCESS EQUALS AUDACE Part One: Introduction By Queen MaiaCer Lysette

Audace Modeling School is a basic modeling program designed to teach beginning skills while it offers a fun filled atmosphere within the modeling industry.  This concept of fun over profit makes Audace especially unique.

Audace, born in 2014 as a vision of the perfect modeling school, was founded by DebbieDoo Tigerfish. Debbie, a member of Second Life™ since April, 02, 2010, is an accountant in Real Life. When asked about the challenges of developing this agency, Debbie offered the following. “There are no challenges. To me it isn’t a business like you see in Real Life (RL). It has zero income and will always remain that way. It’s about making dreams come true.”

The women behind the Audace Modeling School have catapulted this agency up near the top of the Second Life™ modeling world. Audace models are bold and professional, and they learn to radiate confidence and assertiveness.

Another part of the unique aspects of Audace’s philosophy is that they pass their graduates, with pre-paid tuition, to other schools in order to further the students’ knowledge, experience, and professional standing.
When asked how she first got into modeling, Debbie, the financial guru and creative genius stated. “I couldn’t walk straight, and I thought modeling would help me do that. I kept bumping into walls and couldn’t walk upstairs…oddly enough nothing has changed!”

Her drive and energy are just one aspect of her forward thinking strategies. “I left CWS, and was bored. It’s a dream that for most models, is something they will never be able to do in RL. With mesh bodies improving and internet speeds getting better, it’s becoming much easier and more fun to get into.”

Her winning personality and sense of humor contributes to the success of this agency. As Huffington Post co-founder Arianna Huffington said in the March 22, 2017 article 12 rich, powerful people share their surprising definitions of success by Shana Lebowitz [http://www.businessinsider.com/how-successful-people-define-success-2017-3/#billionaire-richard-branson-believes-success-is-about-happiness-1] “money and power aren’t enough.”

Debbie insists that fun is the most important aspect of modeling and her work with her agency. “Have fun. Don’t do it if you think it’s a way to make money. If the fun stops then stop. Keep this in mind and you will never think about anything else.”

Another aspect that Debbie encourages is exploring the limits and pushing the boundaries of each individual. The supportive environment lead others to join in this endeavor.

Zexxxy Xaris, Sidney Abbot, and Liberty Lighthouse complete the core four of the Audace team. The Women of Audace are unique, and yet they complement each other. What makes each of them work so well together? Here’s what they have to say.

Zexxxy Xaris (known as Zee Zee) said, “Debbie has such an effervescent personality and it rubs off on us.

Sidney Abbot: “We have known each other for many years. We all met as models and developed a true friendship but the most important thing is that we respect each other and truly love one another.”

Liberty Lighthouse: “Honestly Debbie has a vision and I love her ideas.”
They each agree that the unique quality of Debbie’s open and generous nature leads the way and makes everything work well. “Well, that would be DebbieDoo Tigerfish,” said Sidney. “She was my mentor at CWS [University of Modeling & Fashion CWS] and when she opened Audace I knew I wanted to be a part of it. She is my friend, my sister and I love working with her at Audace. She is generous, loving and has a wicked sense of humor! She has always been there for me and my SL experience would never be the same without her.”

Emeric Biraud, of Model Management, a Real Life Modeling agency seems to agree with Debbie’s view in his article “More than 10 reasons why YOU should become a model” (http://www.modelmanagement.com/blog/more-than-10-reasons-why-you-should-become-a-model-on-modelmanagement-com/).
Biraud states, “People just follow the Modeling industry stereotypes, one should be a 90-60-90 model, tall, young …Wrong! The fashion world has been changing for the past years and ModelManagement.com has contributed tremendously on this!  We give the chance to EVERYONE! Curvy, young, senior, short, tall… we think everyone deserves a chance, there are all kinds of modeling jobs out there waiting for you!”

There is no guarantee that success will decent upon your head, but DebbieDoo concurs. “Yes…no matter how important the famous models think they are, we are all avis living in a wonderful world. Enjoy this lovely dream, and at the same time remember this is a dream…and be kind to everyone you know.”

There is a new mall adjacent to The Audace School of Fashion. Malls are this wonderful invention that allows all the need of the individual to be in a central location.   Even in SL it is wonderful to not need to At the moment the mall consists of five main buildings.  Each individual building incorporates a given designer.
Emerald Couture is the brainchild of JieJie Emerald.   Located at Models Resort, Ms. Emerald has  been a fixture in SecondLife TM since 2009 (12/06/2009).
Next door is HEELS.   Feautured in this blog once before because of the humanitarian  nature of Ms. Morgan Whitfield, every cent of money or linden she earned  is donated to charity.
Crystal Kingdom Designs is the brainchild of ℳαδιƨση Amαtεrαƨu Mơơɲ ḞṏẌ Lєє.  The Sister to Audace Fashion School of Modeling CEO and Owner, DebbieDoo Tigerfish,  her designs have been featured previously  on this site.
Classy and Sassy is the newest lable for Cassandra1961.  It is so good to have her back.

An absolute show stopper was Foxy Love ( see below) in an Abya Mermaid silhouette dress of green. Designed to impress, this dress features an open abdomen below the bodice. With the belly button visible, it makes this a tantalizing dress. Thin straps, princess seams, and bold styling makes this a must for your wardrobe.

As New York Fashion Week gears up in the next two months,  do not expect to see fashion shows featuring the Chief Operating Officers and CFFO of the various houses modeling in events in Paris, London, and/or, in Milan .   Even  in Second Life(tm) it’s not often that you see a fashion show comprised of the leaders  in the business.  Today,  at Audace’s Hot N Heavy Show, some of the models were the heads of the Fashion Leader, Audace Fashion School of Modeling.

Every single piece, selected from the impressive collection of  Hot N Heavy Designs by Designer, мσиιςα ѕρєςтяє σнαиα νєgαѕмαи, (monicahowlingwolf) features the next generation of fashion.   Each outfit has a HUD (Head Up Display) with multiple colors to mix and match the combinations for an all new look.

The Lin C Art Gallery Is A Delight

The Lin C Art Gallery Delights the Senses

By

Queen MaiaCer Lysette

I was treated to a visit to the Lin C Art Gallery in Second Life TM (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Hana%20Aloha/21/181/3003).

The Lin C Art Gallery, owned by Lin Carlucci features original works from Lin’s real life studio.

As a real life artist, Lin specializes in portraits.   Her style is classical realism, and on the first floor of her gallery her work encompasses the beauty, harmony and completeness of that technique.  Although I am fond of all the work in the gallery, I was particularly impressed with Lin’s paintings of people, inanimate objects, and animals. In this wide-ranging show, visions from early childhood through old-age are expressed in exquisite and precise detail.

Sharing the space throughout the Gallery, other artist treat the visitors to sculptures and various paintings.  The pricing on most everything I saw was extremely reasonable.  Not everything is signed, and I encourage you to request signed copies from the artist.

Seeing the full range of this gallery’s work is one of those rare treats.  Take the opportunity to enjoy a visit.  It is well worth your time.

HETH HOME INTERIORS

AMAZING QUALITY AT INCREDIBLE PRICES

By

LinetteMarie Resident

After admiring a new piece of furniture in the home of my editor, the Assignment I choose was to scope out Heth Home Interiors.

Heth Home Interiors (HHI), owned by Hethwen Collinwood (Hethwen Resident) offers Second Lifetm furniture of consummate quality materials and impeccable design with… “nothing over one hundred Linden (100L), and no piece over five (5) prims”.  He specializes in fine wood and upholstered furniture selections, as well as pieces of sculpture, wall pieces, and almost anything you can imagine.  He has designed windows with views to complement his furniture, along with matching drapery.

Heth Headshot - Audace.png If the name of Hethwen Resident sounds familiar, it is because he has received multiple nominations for AVI Choice Awards since 2014, and has won numerous honors, both as a model and as a designer.  He also holds the title of Mr. Avatar World -USA 2012, and Mr. Virtual World-USA 2015.

This apex of the furniture world, in SL, represents peak luxury, superlative performance, and preeminent levels of beauty and distinction. The best furniture is put together with precise attention to details.  The actual value stems from  an amalgam of old-world craftsman’s skills, as seen in RL furniture, with our SL new-21st-century technology.

Heth backs up his beautiful work with incredible customer service. According to my source, when she questions that one of his pieces would only sit one person, he explained it had been designed that way, offered her a complete refund, asked her to choose another piece, and THEN said that he would eventually remake the piece to sit two people.

My connection stated, “I expected to have to wait for him to get back to me, but within ten  minutes of me dropping the notecard in his box, he had contacted me, even though he was practicing for a fashion show.”  You can’t beat this type of service.  Be sure to join his group.  The joiner gift is an exquisite skybox.

MY FIRST WALK

Today, Sunday February 25, 2018, was my first walk as a professional model in Second Life.  Modeling in Second Life is more difficult than I thought.   As a former professional runway model in Real Life, I am confident, in general, as to my skill set.  But in SL, you need to learn keyboard techniques just to walk, to turn, and even to change clothes.  In addition, it is important that you understand  the need to have a tough skin and be able to take criticism, be a good sport,  and be supportive of the other models .  One must be a gracious winner and a good loser.    In this article, we will explore insight from various models as they remember their  “First Walk.”

I asked Sagia Dixon (Sagia Resident) to write an article about the beginning of her modeling career and the impetus behind it.  And,  the first thing she could say is the same as so many could who started school at CWS (Fashion School of Modeling), so she shouted was  “DEBBIE DOO TIGERFISH!”

“Amazingly, true, many of us would not be models today without the likes of our founder Debbie Doo Tigerfish.
After each CWS Fashion Show there was a special feature whereby Debbie selected a few guests to dance with her on the runway and offered them free scholarships to the CWS school where she taught. Who could refuse after the first dance with Deb and this offer? Not, Sagia for sure. Many careers started this way. But, life changes, and so did CWS. All the wonderful teachers (and they were organized and talented), events (and there were many and varied), and so many friends and fun all stopped when it closed. It was about that time Debbie brought forth the birth of Audace along with as many models and friends as possible. Audace now lives and thrives, and what is the best part of Sagia’s modeling career today? It is not the styling, nor strutting, on the runway, but the friendships made. The real rewards are what our Lovin Deb has always told us time and time again “no pressure, fun, sl is for dreams to come true”. Yes, the best part of Sagia’s modeling career are the friendships made from the beginning to today. Sagia says, “Thank You, Debbie.”

My name is Sheila Style and I have been a Professional Model n in Second Life for almost three years and Director of the Modeling School of Audace. I started attending a modeling school almost immediately after joining SL because I loved the world of fashion and my biggest dream was to become a model, and after graduating, after attending the course at MMS, after only a week, I was asked to go for a show for the agency. I remember with great emotion how big my fear and my concern was because I had taken the certificate for so little time, but I learned right away to face things and to believe it to the end, in myself and in what I was doing, so I parade as a model for the Tea Party Show, a show that took inspiration from the fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland”. There were themed outfits but not only, and Alice’s costume I wore it myself, with two other dresses, one elegant and one casual. I was very happy, but so nervous. My hands were shaking with emotion and I remember very well that I cried when the show ended. It was very important to me that I was able to test myself right away and realize that I could do it, to overcome the fear and to show what I could do even as a new model. I recommend to all the new models to never give up, to pursue their dreams, with humility and seriousness even if this career is very competitive and difficult but do it for yourself, believe in yourself anything you do in the fashion world, which are catwalk shows, photo sessions or store models. Always pursue your dreams and try it. If you do not win, you will still win for yourself.

It was a bit nerve wracking to have others watching me walk out on the runway for the first time,
I was fresh out school, one week after I had just graduated , At that point and time, I was stilling learning how to be creative and be confident on the runway.
